Coller IP is pleased to welcome a new member of staff, Grace Mok.

Grace is a wide ranging intellectual property consultant with a firm legal and technical background in IT and computing. She has in-house experience of prosecuting patents in the field of electrical apparatus, and in supporting trademark and design applications. She has experience in preparing and managing a portfolio of commercial contracts including non-disclosure, resale and distribution, manufacturing, website, product design, commercial property leases, assignments and powers of attorney.

Grace has held roles within the legal industry for over five years covering a variety of practice areas, including civil litigation ranging from commercial debts in the Small Claims Court to property disputes in the High Court. Further to Grace’s legal interests, she has had years of practical experience in server management, network administration, SharePoint development and relational database design.

Grace gained a qualifying law degree which was combined with computer science as a minor component. Following graduation, she completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice with a distinction at the College of Law whilst gaining experience as a fee-earner at a solicitor’s firm. Additionally, she completed a Business Finance course to gain further understanding in asset management and valuation in businesses.

Grace recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property law which formed the foundation of her current training towards qualifying as a trademark attorney. She is currently also working towards a Certificate in Natural Sciences with the Open University.
