PegasusBridge Fund Management Limited manages The PegasusBridge Defence & Security Fund Limited, Europe’s first fund to focus exclusively on the fast growing Defence and Homeland Security sectors. It focuses its investments primarily in early to late-stage dual use technologies which have both defence and civilian leading edge applications. Examples include novel x-ray scanning equipment, advanced monitoring & surveillance and standard-setting biometrics.
Ideally, companies seeking investment from the Fund will have a protected core proposition, usually with strong underlying Intellectual Property (IP) and a well developed and coherent business plan delivering early and sustainable revenues.

Our work has indicated that, for some of these applicant companies, there is an increasing level of stronger competing patenting activity in the technology area of interest, which encompasses small start-ups through to large multi-national corporations and where such activity could present a risk to the applicant’s future competitive position. However, other opportunities have been based on a successful team of inventors where the IP being developed is sufficiently novel and differentiated on a worldwide basis to have the prospect to underpin and support the commercial goals of the businesses going forward.
