Jim is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Coller IP Management and provides practical business strategy services to a range of clients. Using appropriate models and techniques, Jim helps organisations to realise the full value of their intellectual capital and develops strategies for legal protection.
Jim is an experienced operations and IP director having focused on commercialisation of an extensive patent portfolio (around 400 granted patents and 400 applications pending), and developed a range of IP-based business processes. Jim specialises in constructing terms for IP agreements and in providing valuations and evaluations of IP.
A physicist by background, Jim has had 25 years of experience of technology development, transfer and commercialisation in a range of industry sectors. Jim provides training presentations on IP and IP strategy in business and is an experienced workshop facilitator.
