Josephine is qualified and experienced as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney.
Josephine studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University specialising in chemistry and completed a DPhil in inorganic chemistry at Oxford University. Subsequently she trained in private practice and now provides advice to a wide range of clients across many industry/technology sectors including electronics, Energy, Space and chemicals.
Josephine has experience of providing a range of IP services, in particular new ventures where there is a requirement to establish a clear and defensible IP portfolio position. A significant part of the associated work has been the need to develop a strategy for managing emerging patent portfolios, filing new patent applications and close liaison with inventors. Integral to this process has been the need to provide advice on freedom to operate and to give advice on potential infringement issues.
