Principal Patent Attorney
Peter Mansfield is an experienced patents portfolio manager and provides patents advice to a range of clients and as part of Coller IP Management activities. He is a Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney and a European Trade Mark Attorney. He provides a patent attorney service, not just in relation to inventions and trademarks, but also on designs and copyright. Peter brings particular experience of interpreting validity and providing legal opinion on freedom to operate in support of commercialising new developments and pre-existing IP.
Peter studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. He qualified as a Chartered Patent Agent in 1984 and as an European Patent Attorney in 1985. He has been involved since 1981 in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for some 400 inventions, and registration of some 50 trade marks over a wide area of technologies and industry sectors.
