Stewart Davies became an advisor to the board of several companies in April 2005 following retirement from BT Group plc and a career in telecoms spanning over 36 years. Stewart was appointed as Chairman for Coller IP Management in March 2006. Prior to leaving BT he was Chief Executive Officer BT Exact, BTs Research, Development and IT Operations business which included Adastral Park in Suffolk.During his time with the company he worked in many R&D disciplines including switching systems design, PABX design and development, large scale systems integration and corporate venturing. Stewart was responsible for the creation the BT Brightstar Incubator, which received widespread recognition internationally.Stewart is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. A graduate from the University of Manchester, a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers.
